Hi, I’m Tiana Kelly (she/her)!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC, dedicated to using my experience and techniques to help my clients feel validated and empowered to make healthy choices.
When you are ready to make the courageous leap into counseling, I’ll be your partner to work through whatever you are facing, including life transitions, depression, and anxiety symptoms, the challenges of being a young adult, relationship concerns, maternal health struggles, infertility, and grief and loss.
I can also help counsel your desire to recover from past and current trauma in your life. I am here to listen. Working collaboratively, I will be your guide, but you will serve as the expert on you!
I have a Doctorate of Social Science (DSocSci) in Prevention Science Degree and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have additional training in culture-centered disaster counseling, trauma-informed practices, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
I am experienced in working alongside survivors of trauma as well as individuals with anxiety and depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. In addition to my formal education in prevention and counseling, I am currently pursuing a Certificate in Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy!
Additionally, I borrow from cognitive-behavioral, existential, trauma-focused, and prevention frameworks to provide compassionate and strengths-based care. By giving you a safe space to talk, I hope we can work together to help you move forward through any life stressors and accomplish your personal goals.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my dog, exercising, reading, and writing! I prioritize self-care because I must care for myself to take care of you!

Life transitions encompass many things, including starting or ending a romantic relationship, changes with work or school or making any big life change, such as a move. Often we underestimate how these changes will affect us emotionally until we find ourselves struggling with the ups and downs of the life transition.
While we don’t provide couples counseling at Move Forward, many individuals seek counseling to discuss how they can have healthier relationships. Our therapists can help you learn new ways of communicating, setting boundaries, and other ways to have more positive relationships with others.
Trauma symptoms and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can be debilitating for many who experience it. Recovery from trauma is possible and we have therapists who can help.
