Hello! I’m Theresa (she/her), a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University and a background in e-sports and healthy gaming advocacy.

I offer counseling services to teens (13+), young adults, and adults.

I specialize in counseling for substance use, Adult Child of an Addict (ACOA), ADHD, anxiety, autism, bipolar, body image, chronic illness/pain (PCOS & Autoimmune Disorders), Gifted Youths and Adults (emotional, social difficulties) with or without an autism diagnosis, depression, relationships, gifted youth & adults, infertility, LGBTQIA+, life transitions, self-harm, faith-based, religious deconstruction, suicidal ideation, trauma & PTSD, and video gaming & gambling addiction.

I believe in a holistic approach that meets you where you are in your journey. By creating a secure foundation consisting of healthier self-esteem, a toolbox of specially tailored go-to techniques, and a defined set of core values, you will be able to weather any storm.

I incorporate my training and experience in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Narrative, Strength-Based, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into therapy based on your needs and goals for therapy.

My Background in Esports and Screen Media

I’ve spent over a decade in the Esports and gaming industry, wearing many hats, from writer and varsity coach to educator. I teach in the Esports Management Degree program at Harrisburg University while advocating for wellness in competitive spaces. I’ve honed a deep understanding of what healthy gaming looks like. I’ve also witnessed what an unhealthy relationship with screen media can be, and have made it my mission to help individuals and families come to a balance.
