Hello, I’m Jocelyn Kosik (she/her), an MFC Intern Therapist working towards a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Elizabethtown College. I graduated with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Elizabethtown College in 2022. Thank you for visiting my page!
My love for learning has guided many of my life’s decisions and influenced my desire to become a counselor.
As an Intern Therapist, I am fully invested in your health and well-being. I value creating a therapeutic environment where you can feel seen, heard, and understood. I understand that reaching out for support can be a big step, and I am here to meet you exactly where you are without judgment.
Whether you’re dealing with life transitions, stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, managing relationships, work-life balance, depression, or seeking personal growth, I am committed to helping you navigate the challenges that matter most to you. In our work together, I aim to foster a warm and collaborative space tailored to your unique needs and goals.
My role in therapy is to support and empower you and offer compassion as we help you build resilience and a renewed sense of self. I am dedicated to understanding each client’s unique story and collaboratively exploring strategies that can lead to personal growth and resilience. I look forward to working alongside you on your journey toward healing, self-awareness, and meaningful change.
My training as an Intern Therapist incorporates a strengths-based, person-centered approach to therapy, which includes aspects of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I counsel children (9+), teens, young adults, and adults dealing with various challenges, such as navigating attachment issues, LGBTQIA+, body image, gifted youth & adult challenges, parenting, sports performance, life transitions, work and school stress, seeking personal growth, and managing relationships.
Regardless of what brings you to therapy, my goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard and supported.
I look forward to the opportunity to be your partner in therapy.
Outside of sessions, I enjoy reading what I call “fun books,” taking weekend trips to visit family, and catching up with friends during any spare moment.

Being a kid can be difficult sometimes. It’s a crucial developmental period of growth and change during which children learn about the world and themselves. This can be overwhelming to some children since many are still learning all the tools and skills to help them cope with their emotions and life’s stressors. This is where therapy can provide support.
Are you struggling with finding a way to come out to family or friends? Have you come out and felt rejected or misunderstood? Are you struggling to understand your own identity? Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues? Do you need someone to talk to who understands? If any of these describe you, we can help!
Move Forward Counseling is an inclusive practice where we want the LGBTQIA+ community to feel welcome and supported. Whether you are unsure how to embrace your identity, are having relationship issues, or need extra support from a non-judgmental person, we have therapists who can help.
