Hi, I’m Tiana Kelly (she/her)!
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I employ various therapeutic techniques to help you feel heard, validated, and empowered to make healthy choices. I borrow from cognitive-behavioral, existential, trauma-focused, and prevention frameworks to provide compassionate and strengths-based care. By giving you a psychologically safe environment, I hope we can work together to help you move forward through any life stressors and accomplish your personal goals.
When you are ready to make the courageous leap into counseling, I am here to assist with life transitions, depression and anxiety symptoms, the 20-somethings experience, relationship concerns, maternal health promotion and infertility issues, grief and loss, as well as recovery from trauma. Working collaboratively, I will be your guide, but you will serve as the expert on you!
I have a Doctorate of Social Science (DSocSci) in Prevention Science Degree and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have additional training in culture-centered disaster counseling, trauma-informed practices, cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. I am experienced in working alongside survivors of trauma as well as individuals with anxiety and depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. In addition to my formal education in prevention and counseling, I am currently pursuing a Certificate in Animal-Assisted Psychotherapy!
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my dog, exercising, reading, and writing! I prioritize self-care because I must take care of myself to take care of you!

While we don’t provide couples counseling at Move Forward, many individuals seek counseling to discuss how they can have healthier relationships. Our therapists can help you learn new ways of communicating, setting boundaries, and other ways to have more positive relationships with others.
