Hi! I am Katie Mauro (she/they), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have two roles at Move Forward Counseling: Program Director of the Eating Disorder Program and an outpatient Therapist.

Eating Disorders Program

As the Clinical Director of the Eating Disorder Program, I’m committed to shaping the clinical vision rooted in connection, curiosity, and compassion. I work closely with our team to foster a program grounded in authenticity and respect, where clients feel genuinely seen and supported, as well as challenged.

My goal is to cultivate an environment where healing is collaborative, evidence‑informed, and deeply human—one that empowers each person to move toward recovery with dignity, hope, and a true sense of belonging.

Mental Health Therapist

I specialize in working with people aged 16 and older who struggle with body image, disordered eating, anxiety, and the exhausting cycle of overthinking. My clients are often insightful and self-aware but find themselves stuck- unable to express their needs, set boundaries, or feel truly present in their lives.
